You Don't Have to Figure This Out Alone
Autism Centers of Utah was founded by the Katari family after their son Blake was diagnosed with autism. That experience is the heart of everything we do. We are not just a therapy provider; we are a family who understands, from the inside, what these first weeks feel like.
When you call, you are not talking to a call center. You are talking to people who remember sitting where you are sitting now, and who can help you understand what your options actually are.
Wherever You Are, We'll Help You Find the Next Step
Families reach out to us at different points, and all of them are welcome:
- Your child was just diagnosed. We can walk you through what a diagnosis means, how ABA therapy works, and how to begin, at your pace.
- You suspect autism but don't have a diagnosis yet. We can help you understand what assessments may be appropriate and, in some cases, conduct an ADOS assessment. If a more comprehensive diagnostic evaluation is needed, we can help guide you toward the right specialists.
- You're looking for a supportive place for your child during the day. If you have been searching for an autism daycare or preschool for a young child, our center-based ABA program may be exactly what you're picturing. More on that below.
Either way, one phone call can replace hours of searching. We will help you understand where you are and what a realistic next step looks like.

What ABA Therapy Is, and Why Starting Early Matters
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy is the most extensively researched intervention for autism and is recognized as the evidence-based, gold-standard treatment. It helps children build communication, social, and daily living skills, step by step, in a way tailored to each child.
Starting early matters. Research consistently shows that early, intensive intervention improves outcomes, and the window before age six, when the brain is most adaptable, tends to produce the greatest gains. Reaching out sooner, even just to ask questions, keeps your options open.
Looking for an Autism Daycare or Preschool?
Many families find us while searching for an "autism daycare" or "autism preschool" for a young child: a safe, structured place to spend the day while building skills. Here is the honest answer: we are a center-based ABA therapy provider, not a licensed daycare or preschool. But for many young children, our program is exactly what those parents were hoping to find.
At our 15,000 sq ft center in Sandy, your child spends structured days learning and growing across dedicated therapy, play, art, and motor spaces, guided by trained clinicians, with a plan built around them. For families weighing a daytime option for a newly diagnosed toddler or preschooler, a free welcome call is the quickest way to hear whether center-based ABA fits what you're looking for.

What Happens When You Call
The first step is a free welcome call: a relaxed conversation, not a commitment. We will listen, learn about your child, answer your questions, talk through insurance, and explain what getting started could look like. There is no pressure and no obligation. If it feels like a fit, we will help you take the next step. If not, you will still leave the call with a clearer picture of your options.
Insurance Made Simple
Autism Centers of Utah is in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield and Utah Medicaid. If your child is covered by either, we can verify your benefits and help your family get started quickly.
Have a different plan? In some cases our team can help explore coverage through a single-case agreement or out-of-network arrangement. At this time we are unable to work with Tricare.
