Terms of Service
Effective date: July 29, 2026
Please read these terms carefully before using our website. For how we handle your information, see our Privacy Policy.
1. Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Autism Centers of Utah website. By accessing or using this website, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use this website.
2. Who May Use This Website
This website is intended for adults 18 years of age or older — parents, legal guardians, caregivers, and professionals seeking information about our services. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children through this website.
If you submit information about a child through any form on this website, you represent that you are that child’s parent or legal guardian and are authorized to provide it. By using this website, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into these terms.
3. Use of This Website
You may use this website only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You agree not to:
- Use the website in any way that violates any applicable federal, state, local, or international law or regulation
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the website, the server on which it is stored, or any connected database or system
- Introduce viruses, malware, or any other material that is malicious or technologically harmful
- Use any automated means, including robots, scrapers, or similar tools, to access or copy the website in a way that interferes with its normal operation
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organization
4. Medical Disclaimer
The content on this website is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Use of this website does not create a provider-patient relationship between you and Autism Centers of Utah or any of its clinicians. Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you have read on this website.
Individual results vary, and nothing on this website is a promise or guarantee of any particular outcome. Articles, resources, and third-party materials on this site are general in nature and may not reflect the most current clinical guidance.
In an emergency, do not use this website. If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room immediately. For a mental health or safety crisis, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
Website forms, email, and text messages are not monitored around the clock, and we cannot guarantee a response time. Do not rely on any of these channels for urgent or emergency needs.
5. Appointment Requests and Inquiries
Forms, scheduling widgets, and contact information on this website are provided so you can request information or a consultation. Submitting a request does not create an appointment, guarantee availability, establish care, or confirm insurance coverage. All services, waitlist placement, and insurance eligibility are confirmed directly by our team.
Our intake form collects the limited information we need to check eligibility and schedule a consultation, including your child’s name, date of birth, and insurance details. Please do not send clinical records, diagnostic reports, treatment notes, or other detailed medical history through website forms or email — these channels are not encrypted end to end. Once care is established, our team will give you a secure way to send those documents.
6. SMS and Text Messaging Terms
Program: Autism Centers of Utah Care & Appointment Messages.
You are enrolled when you check the SMS consent box on our intake or contact form, or when you give your number to our staff and agree to receive texts. You must be at least 18 years old and be the account holder or an authorized user of the phone number you provide.
Once enrolled, you agree to receive customer care and one-on-one messages from Autism Centers of Utah — appointment scheduling, appointment reminders, intake follow-up, and replies to questions you send us. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
To opt out at any time, reply STOP to any message; you will receive one final message confirming your opt-out. To request help, reply HELP, or contact us at privacy@autismcentersofutah.com or 385-503-2581. Opting out will not affect your child’s ability to receive care from Autism Centers of Utah.
SMS opt-in consent is not a condition of receiving services or of any purchase, and will not be sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. For details on how we handle phone numbers collected for SMS, see Section 8 of our Privacy Policy.
7. Your Submissions
If you send us feedback, suggestions, questions, testimonials, or other materials through this website, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide license to use, reproduce, and display them in connection with our business, without compensation or attribution. You are responsible for anything you submit and represent that you have the right to submit it.
We will not publish a testimonial or story that identifies you or your child without your separate written authorization.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, images, and software — is the property of Autism Centers of Utah or its content suppliers and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content on this site without our express written permission.
You may view, download, and print pages from this website for your own personal, non-commercial use, provided you do not remove any copyright or proprietary notices.
9. Copyright Complaints
If you believe material on this website infringes your copyright, send a written notice to Autism Centers of Utah, 8851 S Sandy Pkwy, Suite 100, Sandy, UT 84070, or privacy@autismcentersofutah.com, including:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
- The URL or location of the material on this website
- Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf
- Your physical or electronic signature
We will remove or disable access to material we determine to be infringing.
10. Third-Party Links and Services
This website contains links to third-party websites and embeds third-party services, including our scheduling provider, analytics and advertising tools, embedded maps, and our virtual facility tour. These links and services are provided for your convenience only. We do not control third-party sites or services and are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices. Each operates under its own terms and privacy policy, which we encourage you to review. The services we use are listed in Section 7 of our Privacy Policy.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
This website and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted, error free, or free of viruses or other harmful components, or that the information on it is complete, accurate, or current.
Without limiting the foregoing, we specifically disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above exclusions may not apply to you.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Autism Centers of Utah and its owners, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, this website or any content on it. In no event will our total aggregate liability arising out of your use of this website exceed one hundred dollars ($100).
Nothing in these terms limits, excludes, or modifies any liability we may have in connection with the clinical services we provide, or any right you have under applicable healthcare or consumer protection law. Those services are governed by the service agreements, consents, and notices you receive from us directly, not by these website terms.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above may not apply to you.
13. Indemnification
This section is standard legal language that protects us if someone misuses the website. You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Autism Centers of Utah from any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of your violation of these terms or your misuse of this website.
14. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to this website at any time, without notice, for any reason, including if we believe you have violated these terms. Sections addressing intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law survive any termination.
15. Governing Law and Disputes
These terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action relating to this website shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Salt Lake County, Utah.
Any claim arising out of or related to this website must be brought within one year after the claim arose, or it is permanently barred. You and Autism Centers of Utah each waive any right to bring or participate in a class or representative action relating to this website. This section applies to website use only; it does not apply to claims arising from the clinical services we provide.
16. Accessibility
We are working to make this website usable by everyone, including people with disabilities, and we aim to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. If you have difficulty using any part of this site, or need information in another format, contact us using the information in Section 19 and we will help you get what you need.
17. General Terms
Entire agreement. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Autism Centers of Utah regarding this website and supersede any prior understandings.
Severability. If any provision of these terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Assignment. You may not assign these terms. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and post a notice on this website for at least thirty days. If a change affects our SMS program, we will notify enrolled subscribers by text message before it takes effect. Your continued use of this website after we make changes is deemed acceptance of those changes.
