Speech therapy at Autism Centers of Utah works alongside our ABA, Occupational Therapy, and Feeding Therapy programs. This integrated approach allows our therapists to share insights and coordinate treatment, supporting your child's progress across all areas of development.
Autism Centers of Utah is currently in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield and Utah Medicaid.
Our team is happy to help families explore coverage options and determine whether services may be available through a single-case agreement or out-of-network arrangement when needed.

Speech therapy helps children develop communication skills including understanding language, expressing themselves verbally, articulating sounds clearly, and using social communication. For children with autism, it also addresses nonverbal communication and alternative communication methods.
Speech therapy at our center is available as a supportive service for children who are enrolled in our ABA program. Our program primarily serves children ages 2–12, with exceptions considered depending on individual needs. If you are unsure whether your child qualifies, our team is happy to talk through next steps with you.
Progress varies depending on the child's needs and goals. Some children show improvement within weeks, while others may need months of consistent therapy. Our SLPs track progress continuously and adjust treatment plans to maximize outcomes.
AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) includes tools like picture boards, communication apps, and speech-generating devices that support communication. Our SLPs assess whether AAC would benefit your child and provide training for both the child and family.
